MOMologues is a humorous look at the trials and tribulations of motherhood. Described as a tribute to “the toughest job you’ll ever love,” this play mines the laughs and tears of the early years of motherhood, from the joys of infertility, through reading the same books over and over and over, to finally seeing your baby get on the school bus.

In addition to acting, Jen has also designed costumes for many PCT productions, including Brighton Beach Memoirs and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Jen directed Twelfth Night and The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood at Norton High School, Twelfth Night at Scituate High School, and The Crucible at Simmons College. Favorite roles at Simmons College include Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Carlotta Vance in Dinner at Eight. Thanks and love to Mom and Dad! CREW
 |
Liz Bettencourt (Director) is happy to return to PCT after having directed Bedroom Farce in 2009. Liz has appeared onstage with PCT in Much Ado About Nothing and as Ruth in Book of Days. Before moving to the Plymouth area, she appeared in numerous productions with New Bedford Festival Theatre at the Zeiterion Theatre in New Bedford, MA. Holding a BFA in Theatre and a BS and MEd in Secondary English education, Liz teaches English and theatre at Plymouth South High School, where she is also the drama club advisor. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in education from Northeastern University and would like to thank her wonderful mom for always being there for her in life, every step of the way. |
 | Emily Rose Barry (Stage Manager) is thrilled to return to the production side of theatre, with MOMologues marking her second PCT show behind the curtain (she served as the artistic assistant in 2009’s Teen Broadway Cabaret). Previous crew credits include stage manager of Willy Wonka and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), and house manager of Moby Dick – the Musical, all through Sacred Heart High School. Emily spends much more of her time on the stage than behind it, performing in nine PCT shows to date, most recently the staged reading of Present Laughter as Daphne Stillington. She has also performed with Ithaca College, WatermelonAlligator Theatre Company, Hat Trick Theatre, Lighthouse Theatre, Dreamchasers Theatre, and Sacred Heart High School. Emily will be entering her second year at Ithaca College, where she studies Journalism and Pre-Law. |
